Tapes

Vinyl Tapes

This is the same as electrical insulating tape. This tape is smooth, but gives a better grip than an untaped hoop, and also gives some extra weight to the hoop.

Colours of Vinyl Tapes

Vinyl Tape Colours: From left to right; light blue, green, yellow, blue, red, grey, black, brown, white, yellow and green (earth), dark green, orange, purple

Grippy Tapes

I use the sort of tape that is used on hockey sticks to give extra grip. It does make a difference - I've found it helpful for getting the hang of lots of tricks. It doesn't seem to mind getting wet - it dries out very quickly.

Sparkly Tapes

The main purpose of sparkly tapes is to make the hoop look pretty. At the moment I'm using two types of tape. The holographic tape is the fancy sticky tape sometimes used in wrapping christmas presents. Unfortunately, it doean't seem to be fashionable at the moment so is rather hard to come by. The glitter tape is thicker. The colours shown are what I have at the moment, but if the demand is there, I can order in other colours.

New! Glow In The Dark Tape!

I love glow-in-the-dark things! No picture yet because my camera is broken. The tape is a creamy yellow in the light. In the dark it is an unearthly glowing green. In order to glow it needs to spend some time sitting in the light. Daylight is good, but I have found that I can charge it quickly by holding my LED bike light close to it.
